The Zamfara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has urged private school owners in the State to step up the security consciousness and awarenesses in their private schools to avert any breach of security.

This was made known to newsmen in Gusau, the State capital by the State Commandant of the Corps, Mr. A A Sparks while receiving the new Executive members of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools (NAPPS) Zamfara State chapter in the Corps command in Gusau, the State capital.

Mr. Sparks advised the new leaders of the association to always form muster points in their schools to assist the students in the case of any eventuality.

“We are not sleeping but working day and night to protect the lives and properties of Zamfara citizens. So, help the security operatives to help you” he added.

“Even though the security operatives are doing our best to protect lives and properties, protect yourselves also by informing the security agencies of any suspected movement of person or group of persons”

The State NSCDC boss also said the Corps has already stationed Rapid Response Squads in all parts of the state and are ready for distress calls from the Association should there be any emergency.

He assured the association of the command’s unalloyed cooperation and support whenever the need arises.

However, the leadership of the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools, Zamfara chapter led by Dr. Abdullahi Tukur commended the Command for the professional support the Corps has always given to the Association in the past.

He also expressed delight in the warm reception and acceptance accorded the team by the Commandant during the visit while soliciting continuous mutual cooperation from the Corps in the area of security.
