Ahead of the 2023 General Election, Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, Oyo State, Honourable Mukadam Abiola, has criticized major political parties for the huge cost of their nomination forms.

Speaking on Pensioners FM programme, ‘The Searchlight’, Honourable Abiola said the cost would deprive youths and others who cannot raise the amount from actualizing their political ambition.

He stressed that with the high cost of forms, such parties have shown beyond reasonable doubts that they are only interested in their party than the overall interest of Nigerians.

According to Honourable Abiola, no political party should sideline anyone from electoral activities, no matter their financial background.

“I said cost of nomination forms should be something both literate and illiterates can afford, to me it’s like we are practicing rich man’s governance and with such, achieving progress may be hard”.

Recall that the All Progressives Congress, APC, had pegged its presidential form at 100 million naira while the PDP did so for 40 million naira.
