Ahead of Senator Ademola Adeleke’s inauguration as the Governor of Osun State tomorrow, indigenes of Ede, Adeleke’s home town, are already in a joyous mood.
According to report, all hotels and suites in the town have been fully booked, while most houses wore new looks as many residents gathered in groups to discuss the upcoming event.
Senator Adeleke was declared winner of the 16th July governorship election in the state by Independent National Election Commission, INEC.
He polled 403, 271 votes at the election against outgoing Governor Gboyega Oyetola’s 375,027 votes.
Senator Ademola Adeleke would be the sixth executive governor of Osun State tomorrow, since LEO AJIBORISHA served as the first Administrator of the state, after it was created from part of Oyo State in August 1991, during the military regime of General IBRAHIM BABANGIDA.
