The Secretary, Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Oyo State Council, Mr. Muhammad Ibrahim has said that hoodlums have allegedly vandalised about eleven vehicles of the Water Corporation of Oyo State.

Striking workers of the corporation had embarked on protests yesterday and vowed to continue the protest this morning.

Speaking on the situation with the media, Mr. Ibrahim stated that hoodlums in Hummer buses had swooped on a booster pumping station at Agodi, vandalising the vehicles and carting away the keys of the vehicles.

Mr. Ibrahim, who is also the State Secretary of Amalgamated Union of Public Corporations, Civil Service Technical and Recreation Services Employees, AUPCTRE, said security agencies have been briefed about the development.

He appealed to the striking workers to remain calm, assuring them that the strike would not be suspended until the Oyo State Government  address their demands.
