The 20th National Sports Festival has suffered another postponement and will now take place on a later date in April 2021.

It is the third time that the competition will be postponed amid the realities of COVID-19.

Media aide to Minister of Sports, Kola Daniel told newsmen that the postponement was as a result of the avalanche of complaints by participating states of paucity of funds.

The decision to postpone the games again was reached after a meeting of councils of sports with the Sports Minister, Sunday Dare.

Host Edo State had complained of lack of funds because of the impact of the pandemic.
