A magistrates’ court in Kano State has remanded a 36-year-old man, Ahmad Musa, for defiling his seven-year-old niece. 

A  First Information Report (FIR) from one Yakubu Lawan filed at Dala police station alleged that  Ahmad Musa of Kofar Ruwa Quarters lured his niece (name withheld) into a security room at the same address and had canal knowledge of her.

Musa who appeared in court , pleaded not guilty to the charge filed against him. 

The magistrate, Mustapha Datti, thereafter ordered that Musa be remanded at correctional facility and adjourned the case to May 23.
