Oyo State needs the total commitment from its workforce to attain the vision of becoming the most viable state in Nigeria.
Governor Seyi Makinde gave this charge on the occasion of this year’s workers day in Ibadan.
The Governor, who was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Olubamiwo Adeosun, while acknowledging the dedication and commitment of the workers, enjoined the state civil servants to be more committed to work, sustain the ethics of the public service by rendering development oriented service to the state.
“It might not be as elaborate as we would want it to be, but we thank God that we can celebrate. We have had a rewarding year. And we have only you – the great workers of Oyo State – to thank for it,” he said.
Governor Makinde noted that the success recorded in the state in the last three years would not have been possible if not for the positive attitude of the state’s workforce to their responsibilities.
