Some residents in Dugbe area of Ibadan say flooding in the area has become a usual reoccurrence during the rainy season.
According to them, this hinders vehicular movement as pedestrians awaiting vehicles have nowhere to stand due to the flood.
In a chat with our correspondent, Adebayo Yusuf, residents of the area revealed that the cause of the flood can be linked to the blockage of drainages.
“Look at this road, it is already decayed. All water that is coming affects those selling and motorists”
They recalled that the same incident happened last year and the State Governor, Seyi Makinde who inspected the area ordered the Southwest Local Government to proffer solutions, but nothing has been done yet.
Residents further called on the Southwest Local Government to as a matter of urgency find lasting solution to the situation which has crippled business activities in the area.
