Commercial motorcyclists and tricyclists operating in Oyo Town and neighboring communities has said they might be forced to stay off road if government continues with arbitrary rising of fuel price.
The cyclists also called okada riders and other commercial vehicle owners who spoke on the fuel situation described the latest price of petrol now selling between N168 and N172 as a stab in the back at this period.
Two of the cyclists, Afeez Ajani, Femi Alawode and a bus driver, Sikiru Atanda said many of them now cut corners, such as carrying overload to break even with the new pump price.
According to them, the silent approach adopted nowadays by government to increase fuel pump price reflects little concern for socioeconomic well being of the people.
