Former Leaders of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Oyo State Chapter have been urged not to fold their arms and allow the Associations go astray.

A frontline sports photojournalist, Olayemi Bello dropped this charge shortly after featuring on Pensioners FM weekly Yoruba Sports Programme ‘KOKO ORO ERE-IDARAYA’.

Mr. Bello otherwise called Yemius spoke against the backdrop of lingering crisis rocking SWAN at the centre and some States of the Federation.

He said when the National Crisis of SWAN is solved, the State SWAN issues will be solved too.

On his own part, Chairman, SWAN Oyo State chapter, Olaolu Fawole, attributed the crisis to some people parading themselves illegally as SWAN Executives and members.

He added that several attempts have been made through court injunctions to put an end to illegal factions.

He said Government needs to involve Sports Journalist and carry them along in policies that will improve Sports in the country and also said people should be wary of fake swan members.

It would be recalled that for years, Oyo State SWAN has been embroiled with leadership tussle.
