A conference organized by the Nzuko Umunna, an Igbo think-tank, yesterday in Abuja, brought together, presidential aspirants of South-East extraction from different political parties.
The conference, which featured discussions on why the South-East should produce the next president, held at the International Conference Centre in Abuja.
Such presidential aspirants as David Umahi, governor of Ebonyi State, Chris Ngige, minister of labour and employment, Rochas Okorocha, senator representing Imo West and former Imo State governor, Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and Anyim Pius Anyim, former Senate president were in attendance.
Present also were Ayo Adebanjo, Afenifere leader; Victor Umeh, former chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA); and Okwesiliezie Nwodo, former governor of Enugu State and chairman of the Greater Nigeria Group.
