Christian faithful celebrated the Palm Sunday with special services in various worship centers across the state.

Clerics during the services premised their messages on the selfless and committed life of Jesus Christ.

In Akoko area of the state, faithful hanged palm fronds in their houses and cars while the entrances into many churches were decorated with the plant.

At C.A.C Oke Agbe Akoko, Pastor Gabriel Agbaje oluwadamilare Aje quarters Okeagbe Akoko, Northwest Local Government of the state Pastor Gabriel Agbaje asked Nigerians to embrace legacies of Jesus Christ which were love, service and sacrifice.

At Ore town, Evangelist Ezekiel Oladimeji of Celestial Church of Christ charged Christians to imbibe the life of humility, love and tolerance as exemplified by Jesus Christ and asked the leaders to show more love and sacrifice for their followers.

Also, the Shepherd of Celestial Church of Christ in Akure, Prophet Omosehin Obebe called on Christians to live a life of positive impact on the society to draw people to Christ.

Pastor Mayowa Owoyemi of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, FUTA, Akure however warned individuals igniting religious unrest in the nation to desist as there was no alternative to peace for Nigeria to move forward.
