Birthday: NUP Chair Congratulates Pensioners’ FM General Manager

Chairman, Nigeria Union of Pensioners, NUP, Oyo State Council, Chief Isiaka Abolade, has congratulated General Manager of Pensioners’ FM, Dr Babatunde Tiamiyu, who marked his birthday on Wednesday.

Paying a congratulatory visit to Dr Tiamiyu in his office on Thursday, Chief Abolade extolled his professionalism and charged him to continue to display leadership qualities that have motivated the staff of the station to give their best.

Chief Abolade prayed for long life and all round prosperity for the General Manager.

“I now felt as a father, as a leader. I have to come personally to his office to congratulate him on his birthday and I wish him long life and he shall prosper in the name of Almighty Allah and in Jesus name”

Chief Abolade, who used the occasion to commend Management and staff of the station for their productivity, urged them not to worry about the unhealthy competition that may arise as a result of the growing number of radio stations in Ibadan.

He charged them to rather look more inwards and come up with programmes that will attract more audience and prestige to the station.

“I want to use this occasion to advise staff and management of Pensioners FM 106.7, to continue to put in their best and shouldn’t mind the days of small beginnings. Life itself is very competitive. Remember when you are in school, you compete for positions, so is the same now. Don’t let what is happening in the country now affect this radio station, there are so many radio stations in Ibadan today competing with one another but don’t let it discourage you”

In a response, Dr Tiamiyu thanked the NUP Chairman and vowed not to rest on his oars until Pensioners’ FM attains it peak of glory.
