The need for mothers to be more alive to their responsibilities in child upbringing and home making for societal peace has been emphasised.
Speakers at a2022 Mother Day Celebration organised by the Women’s Council of Ansar-Ud- Deen Society of Nigeria, ADS, Agbowo branch, Ibadan made the highpoint of their presentation.
Speaking on the topic “Quick Rich Syndrome and Child Trafficking, Dr Mutiat Oladejo of the Department of History, University of Ibadan frowned at excessive respect for material wealth prevalent in today’s society, advising mother to teach their children virtues of hard work and integrity.
On her Part, an Islamic Scholar and Relationship Counselor, Alhaja Nafisat Hazzan, called on mothers to always check their children against involvement in societal vices, such as fraud, otherwise known as yahoo –yahoo and other criminalities.
Earlier, while welcoming the participants Chairperson Women’s Council, ADS, Agbowo Branch, Alhaja Mub at Ogunyode, called on parents to always find time for their family despite the current economic pressure on couples.
Highlight of the event include Health talk, Kids get together and prayer for families especially mothers.
