17 year Old Oba Oloyede Akinhare, the Arujalle Ojima of Okeluse kingdom in Ose Local Government Area of Ondo State has officially received the instrument of appointment and staff of office from the State Government.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu at the coronation ceremony lauded the community for a rancor free selection process and charged them to support the new monarch.

The leadership of Okeluse kingdom fell on the shoulders of the 17-Year-old Oba Oloyede Akinhare the 2nd, following the demise of his father late Oba Adeyemo Adeyeoba who joined his ancestors in February 2019.

His selection by the kingmakers followed the tradition of the community which stipulates that the first son of a king automatically occupies the position after their passing away.

This age long tradition which was already the fate of Oba Akinhare being the last born and only son in a group of four children of the late monarch arrived early ascending the throne in 2020 and now presently in senior secondary school two.

It was a beehive of activities at the kingdom as dignitaries from all walks of life throng the palace for the coronation and presentation of instrument of appointment and staff of office to the new king, who was born on May, 15th 2003.

Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mrs. Lola Fagbemi said the coronation was necessary after the fulfillment of all required rites.

Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, who was represented by his Chief of Staff, Gbenga Ale, presented the staff of office to the king and commended the community for sticking to its tradition in the selection process.

Sons and daughters of the kingdom and guests at the event expressed optimism for a prosperous reign under the new monarch.

Few months under the reign of Oba Oloyede Akinhare, Okeluse kingdom has witnessed several achievements which include the restoration of electricity after 10years of outage, installation of mast by three network providers, provision of ICT centre in the town and many believe it’s the beginning of more prosperity to come.
